passion?? cont. new conclusion

so.... i previously posted a blog about passion and i thought i had come to a great conclusion...if i let my passion consume me then i have no other choice but t be great at it...but a friend of mine *cough*robyn*cough* replyed to my post by sending me this message..and i like it a lot..it maybe helpful to you onlookers out there.

"but I wanted to say-
passions arent meant to consume us as would our relationship with Jesus. Passions are just things we cant see living without. So dont question or doubt it just b/c you arent doing it every single day. Just like a relationship, however, passions may have a dry period. Take me for example...Im an artist but I never talk about my art and I hardly draw. but i LOVE to do it and it brings me joy. I dont do it every single day but I do believe that art and creativity are my passions along with volunteering. If you consume yourself with something or even someone ( not Jesus, of course), you're going to become bored. Maybe the fire you once had for music has died out B/C you overwhelmed yourself with thinking that it had to be top priority in your life. I would also like to add that God shows us the most amazing things in our periods of waiting. Why dont you try looking at it like...
when you decide to take a break from a piece you're working on....GOD is working in YOU to make your return to the track even better than it would have been had you not taken that break. With my poetry, sometimes I'll come back to it a year later....and that's fine..b/c you know what? In that time, ive learned new words, figured out new ways to string lines together to make them cohesive, had more and more thoughts to contribute to the composition and so on. It's the same with music...
on your break you could have been listening to other music, gathering inspiration...doing other things that could help sharpen your skills for when you actually do return to it. I firmly believe that music is your passion, but allow God the room to work within your passion. He'll work things out for you if you keep him first. You wont ever fail if what you're doing is glorifying him and stays Christ centered. You're always successful in his eyes."

passion??

passion?? what is it? I had a talk with passion and I decided to ask him, do you think I have the drive, or what it takes inside... do you feel I live the life to make it farther then I, can begin to concieve. See I believe if I love it that much, I have no choice but, to live my dreams. When I hit the studio, I usually create something beautiful in my eyes, but i leave it be... WHY??? nobody knows. When Diddy hits the studio, he doesn't come out for 22 hours. I could do the same, but how long would it take for me to go back in. I love music. I love every bit of music. I love art and creativity, but sometimes I question my love for it because my actions don't fully show. I truly believe the only way to become successful at something is by letting it consume you completely. It's like your walk with god. If you don't let his love and truth fully and completely take over your entire being, you won't be successful. It seems I've come to an abrupt conclusion in the midst of writing this.

Peace and God Bless,
Eyeconic
